The people are like robots Suthep says and the robot follow orders. Yes sir, how much sir,

You wish it would sure be better than what we have in power now.

Fortunately Suthep has come up with a reasonable plan that conceivably would gain him nothing other than the ability to say I served my country in a very positive way.

All Yingluck can claim is she has served the Yingluck clan in a ridicules plan to create a dictatorship. Nice to see she has a robot following her.

Companies that have been financially supporting the anti gov protesters will come under financial attack once their names are released... if not officially then hopefully wikileaks style.

I would think it would increase their business.

Remember they are against all your tax money going into off shore bank accounts.

I suppose there are people other than yourself who don't care but the majority of the people do that is why the majority of the people voted against Yingluck and the clan she serves.

Attack? Or will they gain customers from the >50% who declined to vote in a one-horse PTP election?

They wont be able to compete if their supply chains are blocked or cold shouldered, if they have offices in the NE or based in the N- NE... or if other critical groups/businesses they depend on up their prices or refuse to do business... smile.png

its the worst financial transaction they have done, by funding these yellow shirt terrorists.

Thailand is a big country and the area that backs them is a great supplier of rice. Nothing else that they can not get elsewhere.

The rest of the country can take care of the little bit of other stuff that comes from the richcheesy.gifrice farmers. If needs be Cambodia would have it.

Not exactly sure if you are trying to be funny or are a desperate man who tied his wagon to a falling star.coffee1.gif

After reading 4 pages of fairly standard TV responses it's clear that most really didn't read the article. Unless some moderate voices from BOTH sides are able to calm this down it could become a whole lot worse. Pig headed belief that their is only one way can't be the answer can it?. As foreigners living here do we really want to see this escalate?.

Reason is not a red shirts best weapon.

They are always saying elite this and elite that.. I would say elite are the ones with money.

Now they say it does not matter how they spend their money.

Seems reds always want to have it two ways.

I don't agree with the elite part anyway but I do think the anti government have more purchasing power as the reds and should use this as a weapon. Reds got mindless aggressive minions (last time they used them full scale was 2010) then the anti government needs to use what they have intelligence and money.

The problem is that both sides have mindless followers. You can't tell me that the red shirts are guilty of the same kind of behavior. The mob mentality in Thailand is a dangerous thing. There is a high tendency to conform and go with the group. Whether it is a certain color shirt on a specific day, a wristband or something else Thais follow trends. The fact is that both sides have used the same tactics and are guilty of the same kinds of offenses. Thailand desperately needs a third option.

"The anti-government camp won this mini-battle of wills" and farmers go hungry. Thanks for nothing Suthep.

Actually it is the farmers who are saying thanks for nothing to the Yingluck government for failure to pay them and it is bank depositors who have freaked out at the thought of GSB funds being lifted to make up for absence of government funds and don't wish to face the thought of being left with nothing. So really your comment is full of nothing n'est pas?

A run on the thai economy caused by sutheps civil disobedience measures would be a matter of national security.

The government would be able to enforce a SOE with teeth

If there is any run on the economy it has originated from government ruinous policies ending up as attempted looting of bank reserves. Have another go.

Helloohoo ???? Anybody in there?? - Please stop repeating the stupid PDRC rethoric and distorting facts here!

We are not yellow sheep and can form our own opinion!

However corrupt the TRT / PT government might have been - the money was always there - it was the Democrat led government which produced the first budget deficit since the Chuan Lekphai government.

Abhisit's government saw unemployment increase by 63 percent.Thailand's government budget went into deficit for the first time since 2003. By 2010, the government's debt had bloomed and reached -4.8% of GDP, the largest budget deficit since the government of Chuan Leekpai!

It was the PT government who had to pull out the cart of the mud which the Democrats had left there!

So please tell me who was looting the bank reserves to satisfy the already well off civil servants and military ???
