Russia had nukes when it started the war. Are you suggesting that Ukraine should just roll over because 'Russia has nukes'? That implies that you prefer that Ukrainians should be prisoners for the rest of their lives rather than fighting for their freedom. And then when Russia invades another country, and another ....... Cooking Oil
At the end of the day, unless you're eating a lot of oil, what oil you use will have very little effect on your heath. It is amusing that so many people go crazy about what their food is fried in but then eat a piece of cake with frosting that is shortening and sugar. -

How much do you pay for health insurance?
I will be 73 next month. I will be paying $700 a month this coming year for hospitalization only, with April International Insurance based in Paris, France. (Not to be confused with Paris, Texas. Ha Ha.) I switched to just hospitalization coverage a couple years ago when having outpatient and hospitalization became too expensive. This year I am paying $605 a month so it will be increasing $95 a month. My COLA increases next year with my SS and pension will likely just about cover the $95. But, of course, some other things have also increased in price so I am losing ground with my budget. -

I think I may have mentioned that one gets the impression that the vast majority of crime committed in Thailand would appear to be committed in Pattaya - not sure if I said 82% - where would I get that figure from? We "farangs" get most of our news from AN, and if they seem unduly biased towards reporting the crime in Pattaya rather than anywhere else in the country, there must be a reason for it, why don't you ask them? For your info, I live in one of the island resorts, and although there are quite a few ladyboys/transgender persons working in the bars, I never see or hear of the kind of trouble here that seems to happpen in Pattaya on a regular basis (Indians - ladyboy - gold necklace - theft). I am not saying that it doesn't happen, in the same way that I have never actually seen a fight in all the 20 years that I have been here doesn't mean to say that they don't happen - just that I have never seen one. Maybe that is why there are seldom reports of bag/necklace snatches, muggings, beatings up by bouncers/taxi drivers on AN because they rarely happen here? And I do go to the bar areas frequently (2 or 3 times a week) so it's not like I am living the life of a hermit in my Utopia! Someone a while ago implied that I had not even been to Pattaya - not true - I was there for 2 or 3 days with a couple of mates a few years ago, and although I enjoyed it, I won't be rushing back - I certainly didn't feel as safe there as I do in "my Utopia"! -

So I've talked about my wife's cousin before . Lady of the night, no getting around that. Ended up hooking up with a Swedish guy and moving to Sweden. Sweden seems to be the soft touch for visas I kinda like Clas fun guy, obviously knows the history, her kids grandkids all seems to work. But she makes him happy, and she seems happy in some Godforsaken town in Sweden, so all good
