February 22, 201412 yr Hi, I'm currently staying in Thailand on my 2nd entry of a double entry visa that I obtained in Vientiane. I've heard that I can get a 30 day extension on top of this thus making the total stay 90 days. Is this true? I'm presuming that I can go to the Thai embassy and request a 30 day extension. Can anyone provide any info on this? Many thanks Vickie
February 22, 201412 yr You can apply for the 30 day extension at any immigration office in Thailand. Cost is 1900 baht. You can do it as much as two weeks before your 60 day entry ends and lose no time because the extension starts at the end of your entry. You will need a completed TM7 form with attached photo, copies of your passport photo page, visa, entry/permit to stay stamp and TM6 departure card. Download TM7 form and print 2 sided here: http://immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm7.pdf
February 22, 201412 yr Can I confirm any Immigration Office. I had a single entry Tourist Visa, maybe 18 months back, wanted the 30 day extension, went to the Bangkok Office (Chaeng Watthana Rd) and was told 'con not' because I was staying at Samut Prakan, just to the south-east of Bangkok.

You need an address to put on the form that is within the jurisdiction of the immigration office you go to. It can be a hotel address. I said any immigration office because some people are under the impression that only certain immigration offices can do them.
July 9, 201412 yr Is CW the only choice in Bangkok to obtain a 30 day extension of a Tourist Visa? If you have an address that is Bangkok it is the only choice. If you are staying in one of the surrounding provinces you can go to an office there.
