Boris 1
I am in the process of buying a house for me and my thai girfriend. It was doing it through a company name and now my advisor lady as come back with... theres now a law that has just come out where you need to have 'shareholders' or whatever the name maybe, she has said that i could put it in my thai ladies name, for obvious reasons i dont want to do that. can anyone give me some advise on what to do next, thanks. JimmyGreaves
Go see a lawyer. Also read this forum as there are many many threads regarding setting up a limited company to buy land and house. FYI you do not need a company to own a house only the land.
Boris 1
I have bought the company from the person who owns the house, but the lady who owns a property company, who has been dealing with things, has just rung me back saying they have just brought in a law that states... you need 7 thai ( i think ) shareholders, is she correct? JimmyGreaves
All Thai limited companies need 7 shareholdes and the majority need to be Thai. This law is very old. You really need to read this forum as this topic has been covered many times.

Jai Yen Yen
I have bought the company from the person who owns the house... I wonder how much this "person" knew about this 'new' law?
