I was supposed to take a friend of mine making today his visa run...but my car has some problem. So please he will go bt himeslf doing it.Can suggest him the nearest border from Pattaya, instead he will go driving his pcx? Thanks a lot for any answers.

pong nam ron is the closest and the quietest, easy to get to all the way along the 36 road turn left at the end at chantaburi, then along on the right.(40 minutes ish) one 'visa' service just after Thai immigration, they will do everything for 1,300 baht - https://maps.google.co.th/maps?q=pong+nam+ron+border&ie=UTF-8&ei=HO4LU8-DJoqUiAfz24GIDw&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAg

I have a question, you where supposed to drive him today, but your car has problems, right ?

If your car hadn't had problems, which border would you have taken him? Why not tell him to go to that border as you (maybe) already know the directions and how far it is.

I drove many times my friends from Here to Arayanphatet...i just wondering a nearest border instead he will drive his bike

Aran is too far away, that Ban Pakard border is definitely the closest one, next closest would be Had Lek (near Trat)

Use a Visa Run agency, cost your friend Tb 2.000 and NO hassle at all - they do all the paperwork for you.

^ Good Idea, however I suspect that if his friend doesn't go today he will be on overstay, and I don't know if he wants to risk that. And for today all the Visa Run companies left hours ago (usually 7am)

not quite urgent is it?

1 day late is a 500 baht fine if i am not mistaken

He all done.He just arrive. He left home about 9.30,arrive Pakaard border about 14.30.He told me so easy and quickly.Just one police thai lady at the passport control:for coming out Thailand and for coming in.At the Cambodian border just wait 10 minutes at the desk with no officer, just fat but funny cambodian girl. All costs 1300.No people asking money,no people wants money for help.Make 3 time full gasoline at his pcx.Two times police stop him...but all ok

So me and him thanks thaivisa for all the answers and suggestions.

He rode a PCX scooter 500klm in 10hrs return to Pattaya!

Wow, better him that me, i bet he's got a sore arse! facepalm.gif

Sorry Ocean,if ur commment is ironic........you have problem with that?

No sir, I'm not being funny, because I enjoy reading about a persons posting an issue, how the TV readers give useful advice, and how the person with the issue solves their dilemma. I think TV is very valuable. I've actually enhanced my time in THAILAND by reading TV. Good luck!
