Mailed 90 day Bangkok no receipt

Featured Replies

As had not received early January mail report receipt (due late January) went to Big C Lat Phao immigration today. It is a far corner of 5th floor behind the ice rink viewing terrace and past all the adjoining country work permit desks and a large air conditioned room that you first go right to obtain queue number from specific desks for your reason for visit. Once a queue number in hand you can return to the immigration room for call/sign (B queue for 90 day reporting). At 1050 got queue number 102 and was out at 1210 (50 numbers processed in that time). There is limited seating but if you watch you should be able to find an open seat without too much wait. At queue desk they put my mail store receipt/printout of receipt by Chiang Watanna and copy of original TM.47 and previous receipt together and advised to tell officer more than 30 days and new receipt not received. Good news was new reporting date was 90 days from today rather than original application. Not Chiang Watanna but still better than the old days at Suan Phlu.

I've been to the Ladphrao office twice, first for 90-day and then for annual extension, agree not Chaeng Wattana, and space is quite tight - but the staff were (mostly) courteous and efficient despite the large numbers of people.
