Don't want to be picky, but not "all" the people from the top countries want to be here. Thailand is fantastic, and I love it, but it's also a cheap place to live. If I had big money, not sure I'd be living here.

No disrespect intended: however, in the marriage game, men tend to marry down, women up. (Savy women!) This trend of men from relatively rich countries finding brides in poorer ones has been going on for centuries. I don't see how this some how "improves" Thailand's position on the list. Just my opinion

Also have to wonder what percentage of guys are actually in search of a bride when they hit retirement age. Most retirees I know are married.

That would require a very different study: "Top 20 countries for single retired men to find love and happiness". I get the sense the target demographic just shrunk by 90%, along with a significant drop in the net worth pool. Rich guys can get laid find love anywhere.
