Visa in Phnom Penh? got a red stamp in last passport

Featured Replies

I'm planing to fly to PP and get a tourist visa there, however in my last passport I got a red stamp saying "Do not apply for visa in Phnom Penh again", or something similar.
reason was probably that I had come to PP, applied for a 60 days Visa, went to Thailand for 5 days then returned to Cambodia and applied for another one..
this was about april 2007, would I get any problem today 7 years later with another passport?

You should not have a problem getting a tourist visa there but you will have to wait up to 4 days to get it unless you use an agent.

Ah, I see. So perhaps Vientiane is the better option after all. Too bad since I really don't like Vientiane compared to PP... just read on the embassy's homepage that they, of course, are closed on weekends, so I guess I will need to go for another Visa exempt anyway since I need to be in Bkk during the week days for all of April. Any country near where you can make a visa on a weekend? I would guess the answer is no.

BTW Thanks for allyour inputs, always helpful and cuts straight to the case. Kudos for that!

All embassies and consulates are closed on the weekends.

Vientiane and other locations are next day service.
