DSI to seek arrest warrant for Suthep on 99 counts of murder

BANGKOK, 3 March 2014 (NNT) - The DSI will ask the criminal court to issue an arrest warrant for Suthep Thuagsuban on multiple charges of murder during the 2010 demonstrations, says DSI chief Tharit Pengdit.

The DSI Director-General yesterday reported on the progress of the case of civilian deaths, saying department officers will on March 4 seek an arrest warrant from the Criminal Court for Suthep Thuagsuban, former Deputy Prime Minister and Director of the Emergency Situation Management Center, for being involved in the deaths.

The arrest warrant will be secured to bring Mr. Suthep to hear the Attorney General Office's charges, not for questioning. Mr. Suthep will not be allowed to post bail with officers, but can request bail from the court. In addition, the Center for Maintaining Peace and Order has instructed the DSI to issue summons for over 50 other PDRC leaders ordering them to appear to hear their charges within 10 days.

Mr. Tharit affirmed that the DSI was not just issuing summons for the two PDRC leaders who blew whistles at Khunying Pojaman, but for all of the PDRC leaders who broke the law.

Tit for tat diplomacy dictates that Yingluck and Chalerm are responsible for all the deaths in this current bout of protests in 2014, so DSI start issuing the arrest warrants, as for the debauchery in 2010 ,I consider the Democrat party far to lenient, that shebang dragged on for far to long , just like the 2014 problems. I would assume the courts will throw this 99 counts out , but that's sub-judiciary.bah.gif

More statements that will increase the temperature, and prevent the situation from simmering down. Both sides need to cool off seriously, the tit-for-tat is endless.

The odds are 'slim' and 'none' that the court will approve the warrant and I have it on good authority that 'slim' just left town. This is clearly a show to keep supporters happy and that something is being done about that 'hideous' Suthep.

All the PDRC leaders who broke the law!

It is about time the police did their jobs and arrest these traitors!

Cheers

What about the red shirt leaders who broke the law in 2010? Some who are in government now? Shouldn't they also be in jail?

The current government better be careful as a precedent is being set and they can be charged for the deaths in the current protests. Fair is fair.

Time for the DSI to get out of politics.

Several of the redshirt legislators were also arrested for breaking the law in 2007 and 2009, as well as the aforementioned 2010.

We await adjudication in all of those cases.

DSI chief Tharit Pengdit. Mr Tharit handled the prosecution of red shirt protesters who support former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, the de facto leader of the Pheu Thai Party.

The word chameleon comes to mind.

cha·me·le·on
kəˈmēlyən,-lēən/
noun: chameleon;
a small slow-moving Old World lizard with a prehensile tail, long extensible tongue, protruding eyes that rotate independently, and a highly developed ability to change color.

The majority of the replies that I have been reading here love suthep. He can kill many people and never go to court to even hear the charges. Yea know at least Abhisit did what he was supposed to do and go to court. You all are talking about justice. WHERE IS IT NOW? In suthep's pants that you all love so much.
