March 3, 201412 yr SECESSIONYingluck calls for equal treatmentBANGKOK: -- Caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Monday reiterated that she and her government will not support any separation of Thailand. However, she called on the army to avoid double standards in probing wrongdoing by all and any groups in relation to partition matters."An investigation is needed if there is a real separatist movement. I welcome the army's investment in this matter but the most important thing is to give equal justice to all parties," she said. The army has filed a police complaint against Petcharawat Wattanapongsirikul, a core member of the Rak Chiang Mai 51 group, alleging separatism and treason under Sections 113 and 114 of the Criminal Code.-- The Nation 2014-03-03
March 3, 201412 yr Popular Post With the time difference, it is understandable that the answer to army comes only now! It would have been much better if a strong statement came right after the first words from the reds on this topic, or when she went to the North and was welcomed with signs asking for the Lanna republic!
March 3, 201412 yr Popular Post Equal treatment? That would mean the DSI investigating the red secessionists for sedition. That would mean you condemning them for wanting to secede. So if your own useless government can't give 'equal treatment' to these red rebels, you should shut the F up about double standards. Edited March 3, 201412 yr by TVGerry
March 3, 201412 yr Popular Post Although publicly she is saying she does not support any separation of Thailand by asking for equal treatment for all it sounds like privately she does support treason by the Rak Chiang Mai 51 group. Also her long silence on this matter suggests her support of it. IMO Edited March 3, 201412 yr by uty6543

We have to investigate if there is such a movement," she said.Asked if she would warn red shirt activists for such an activity, Ms Yingluck said every wrongdoing faction, not only the red shirts, must be warned and the army is welcome to check but it must check every group for fairness and equality. She said she has yet to monitor the situation given the relocation of rallies to Lumpini Park to determine if the state of emergency would be revoked. The Centre for Mainintaing Peace and Order and security officials will assess the situation before a decision is made, said the caretaker premier. She said police were ordered to investigate the use of explosives and war weapons in attacks which have occurred daily. She never said anything sensible, she never did anything good, and she can't think of anything herself. The brother is doing the thinking and he is more than happy for Thailand to divide, so he can come back as the glorious president......may be emperor.......he always yearned for.
March 3, 201412 yr Popular Post Takes a leaf right out of the newly returned red posters' favourite opening line: "I don't support Thaksin, But..." "I don't support secession, But..." "I haven't got a clue, But..."
March 3, 201412 yr Popular Post Yingluck calls for equal treatment Ok....treat her like she treated rice farmers.........equal! So when will we see Yingluck, ,Chalrem and Chief Bro-In-Law FM and Capo head charged for murder while acting as heads of state, like Abihisit and Suthep? And Tharit charged the same for BOTH clearings out of street protests. 2010 and 2014 Since the chameleon turncoat was up to his short hairs in BOTH committees. Yes, equal TREATMENT! March 3, 201412 yr Ms Yingluck said the government did not advocate separatism and believed that such a move would not take place. Presumably she means the caretaker Government in which case it is only some of the caretaker ministers who have come out and publicly supported the concept of secession not the whole caretaker Government. While she is the only one so far who has condemned the idea. By everyone should receive equal treatment I suppose she means everyone who has called for secession. That would be the insurgents in the south and the reds in the north.

March 3, 201412 yr Popular Post "Equal treatment" Does that include having the DSI requesting bogus arrest warrants for any Red Shirt leader they feel like arresting? Does that include having a Red Shirt leader's bank account or accounts "frozen" with no reason given? Does that having the immigration picking some farang out of a Red Shirt protest site and threatening to have him (or her) deported simply because of his (or her) political views? All of these items are a part of the state-supported harassment Lameduck Yingluck and her government supporters have orchestrated over the past 3 months against protestors simply trying to express their democratic free speech rights as Thais. So yes, that same type or organized harassment would be just good "equal treatment" for Yingluck and her Pee You Thai Red Shirt friends I'm all for that kind of equal treatment. I'd blow a whistle in Yingluck's face just for that. .

Also her long silence on this matter suggests her support of it. IMO Of course they support it. They are probably behind it all, and the man at the top of the entire movement will be no other then...... (drumroll). Mr T himself. Considering she already seems to have accepted that her government are finished. This course of action will be the natural default situation to get Thaksin back here albeit the separation of the north from the south would have to be complete before he can stand up and announce it. Plenty of rumours on social media from Thais that he is already here and hiding out in CM. (according to her who knows everything). Would be great to get photo evidence of that. That would be the final straw, his sister harbouring in a convicted criminal. Nice arrestable offense. Edited March 3, 201412 yr by PepperMe
March 3, 201412 yr The caretaker PM appears to have complety lost the plot. She is contridicting what her head of CMPO just stated about the 'state of emergency' staying in place. Wonder who she will order to investigate the "Seperation" movement, the DSI. The head of that group is about as hard to pin point on his where abouts as the PM. Someon may want to divert a few of those ankle monitors reserved for the parolees and attach them to the Cabinet and any suspious looking acting politician. Then make a twice a day public announcement with google map cornoridates as to the location of this bunch of losers. Ratcatcher might should go public with his rogues gallery photos and ask for assistane of the public is locating their lairs.

A real piece of work that one. More than likely her speech writers. "Not only the red shirts". I wonder what would make her think there was other groups as dumb as the red shirts. It probably took her a long time to find her speech writer. She doesn't have the sense when told about it to immediately say that is wrong and I am glad the army is pursuing the culprits. "She said police were ordered to investigate the use of explosives and war weapons in attacks which have occurred daily. (MCOT online news)" She makes it sound like she just ordered it. With the results they have so far it could be true.

March 3, 201412 yr Popular Post Equal to PTP does not mean equal! It simply means leave my Reds alone...... Embarrassing for Thailand to have such a PM and parliament. She's too daft to even know what is meant by that statement of equal treatment, let alone the feeling of ever having to step out of your comfort zone, feel injustices, or economic disparity the vast majority of people do here. Hope she gets what she asks for bare minimum, to see life in the everyday struggles of being ordinary, facing justice and being accountable for your wrong doings, rather than being sheltered and protected and spoken for. I get the headlines from the Bangkok Post and in the time this tea party has been going on there have been more murders in the south by the terrorists than the ones here by the red shirts. She is a loser in the south and Bangkok. Much more time in Chiang Mai and she will be a loser in the north.

March 3, 201412 yr To be fair, she did 'technically' state that the government did not support the idea of a seperate republic. However, she said nothing about her, her brother, the Shin Clan, the UDD, a selection of PTP ministers (Churapong), Chalerm, Tarit and the red shirt movement. Let's face it... Those are the ones that are under suspicion..... NOT the government. Edited March 3, 201412 yr by PepperMe
