I have an invitation from a friend of mine, a thai national to establish a travel business in bangkok. The proposed company will be offering the services of a regular travel agent, like hotel bookings, ground operations, excursion tours etc.

I would like to receive some personel advise and past experience of any member in this regard.

1. what kind of foreign investment rules/regulations apply to travel trade biz

2. What privilages are offered to foreigners in this trade of investment.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that tourism related businesses sucha as you describe are on the list of restricted occupations that are only available to thais. I'd be sure to ask a lawyer about it.
