I am familiar with the Ban Chang nightlife, but was told there is a similar strip of farang-oriented girlie bars in downtown rayong. Where exactly are they and how do they compare to the Ban Chang bars( in terms of prices for drinks/girls)?

Not the same as ban Chang and more thai style.

There's at least 4 In town. One just off aSuk Rd called Central has some proper stunners esp at weekends another called blue sky bar on "Middle road" which is the main strip. Another in the star hotel which is very nice and good looking chicks

If you go looking for sanook, can speak a bit of Thai and know Thai etiquette, by all means go and enjoy yourself.

To find the strip in Ban Chang come out of Tesco on the sukhumvit do a u-turn and at the first set of traffic lights turn left.

They would give Quasimodo a run for his money.

So for the Quassis amongst us, yes these girl are Esmeralda lookalikes.

Tattoos, beer guts, stretch marks and cellulite city flying all over the place, never mind the language that would put a docker to shame, yeah great stuff just the sort of riap roy girl you would take home for tea in your mothers front parlour.

Hilarious, seems Quassis are quite popular with some posters.

I have a house in Ban Chang and believe me...only thing worth doing for nightlife is eating out....The local talent is subpar at best...Maybe 10 years ago when they worked in Pattaya...but I get more excited about golf or having a cold beer....for what is worth.

Rayon is only good for a rest stop. The only reason I visit is because it's my mothers hometown.

The place I can think of which is good would be Zoods. It's good for me and my cousins with our age bracket around 19 to 23, but for the old men here I'm unsure.

I only seen two farang men there for an entire month. Incredibly rare to see white men. So rare even the locals could easily pick out I was mixed. Normally I blend in. Especially Bangkok.

Laemtong is nice at least. But after the 2nd 3rd visit it's boring.

Every Thai I have met since moving here call it, Soi Lokee.

I go in Zoods now and again (the club part) We as a family go eat there during the week sometimes too. Decent food

Why do you think that this place is so special ? I guess it's in your dreams mostly ?
