Chicken deaths mysterious

The Nation

NONG KHAI: -- Over 3,000 chickens have mysteriously died since March 1 at a farm in Nong Khai's Tha Bo district. Lab test results on the chicken samples will be out today, said farm owner Tuanjai Jaibao. The carcasses were disposed of according to the proper methods, she said.

Livestock development officials inspected and sprayed disinfectant at the farm yesterday. Tuanjai recalled she had set up the farm about a decade ago and had no problems until the chickens started to die sInce March 1 at the rate of 5 to10 per day. The figure escalated to almost 1,000 chickens per day on March 3 to 4, she said. Altogether 3,100 chickens worth Bt450,000 have died at the farm.

Suicide, the police are investigating,no notes were left behind.

No balconies built into those chicken coops...so could not possibly be suicide.

Unless than Big ole Rooster (Co_k) has been breaking hearts.

I suspect murder, it was clearly one of those fake farmers.

Update

Nong Khai chickens died of two 'fowl only' diseases
The Sunday Nation

NONG KAI: -- Lab results found that the mysterious death of more than 3,000 chickens at a farm in Tha Bo district in Nong Khai was from Gumboro, which is also known as bursal disease, and fowl cholera.

The deaths took place from March 1-10 and resulted in a financial loss of Bt450,000.

Neti Chansanitsri, Nong Khai Livestock Development Office's animal health development division head, said Gumboro and fowl cholera were transmitted only among fowls.

Neti said the office would show farmers how to implement preventive methods against the diseases.
