March 18, 201412 yr Driving down Pratumnak Hill today I noticed a blur in my rear view mirror and it was not a motorbike, it was young guy on a skateboard. He overtook me and disappeared from view in the busy traffic ahead. I only caught up with him again at Siam Bayshore. He was really gunning it down the hill and I have no idea how he would have stopped if faced with a truck pulling out of the construction site half way down the hill. March 18, 201412 yr Author If you look closely at the picture, you will see that he is looking down. He actually has a mobile phone in his hands. Presumably updating his facebook status or checking in on Foursquare. Sent from my iPad using ThaiVisa app

You'd be surprised how fast good skateboarders can stop. Here, a tutorial on how to stop: http://www.wikihow.com/Stop-a-Skateboard https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kB68QKwf-kk
March 20, 201412 yr Looks like he's riding a longboard, way easier to stop/avoid an obstacle than on an actual skateboard
March 21, 201412 yr Maybe JT finally abandoned the baht busses? I needed that - thank you. The mental image is the best thing that's traversed my neural pathways in the last 48 hours
March 21, 201412 yr probably a motorized longboard--release the throttle trigger and the brakes engage (quite rapidly and vigorously I might add)
