sarathjay Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 It was only yesterday that my daughter (EU Passport holder) who walked into the Thai Embassy in Colombo armed with all the needed papers, when she frantically called me to say that there is a big board saying that Foreign passport holders applying for a tourist Visa needs to have a Resident Permit for Sri Lanka. On their Website there was nothing related to this rule. I hope this information will come in time if someone here is planning a Visa run to Sri Lanka. Have a fruitful day Folks, wherever you are.
ubonjoe Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 There are many embassies and consulates in the world that have the same policy. It is always best to contact the embassy or consulate to get up to date info for where you plan on applying before making a trip to apply.
notmyself Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Ouch. Met a fella a week or so back who had booked a ticket to go there for a triple entry.
