Job Description

Mahidol University International Demonstration School is looking for an energetic staff member who is interested in assisting the development of Department of Student Services. This person will be assisting the Director of Student Services on the organization of the department, translation between staff, students and parents, and offering innovative ideas to develop MUIDS. A successful candidate must be fluent in Thai and be confident speaking, reading, and writing English. This position has the potential to be promoted to a higher level depending on the person’s performance. A detailed list of duties is provided below. Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree

- Fluent In Thai, reading, writing, and speaking

- Intermediate to Advance Spoken, Written, and Reading English

- Basic computer application skills


Desirable Qualifications

- Advanced computer application skills

- Fluent in English

List of Duties

Filing

- Student files

- Meeting minutes

- Computer files

- Promotional Materials

- Guidance Counseling Library

Registrar

- Preparing official school paperwork such as transcripts, report cards, and enrollment letters

- Inputting records on Powerschool school database system.

- Creating report templates on Powerschool


Communication

- Translate for Meetings and between department staff

- Maintain guidance counseling staff calendars.

- Answering and responding to telephone calls

- Delivering messages to students, classrooms, and teachers

- Coordinating visitors and parents at the school

- Organizing meeting with students and parents

- Responding to emails, telephone calls, and other internal and external correspondence

- Attending and keeping notes for department meetings


Budget

- Organizing and filing budget paperwork

- Putting together the appropriate paperwork for purchasing

- Maintaining the supply list for the department

- Keeping track of budget income and expenditures


Planning

- Assisting the planning of the Department of Student Services

- Providing suggestions to improve or add to the department

- Suggesting and implementing methods to make department services more efficient and effective.


Professional Conduct

- Be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, & Publisher

- Have working knowledge of the computer including applications and using the internet

- Keep confidentiality between students, teachers, and department staff

- Attend professional development workshops which may include computer workshops, etc.

- Assisting with the Admissions process

- Other duties as assigned
