Anyone from UK send money through London Bangkok Bank?

Featured Replies

I'm pleased to report that the funds hit my BKK Bank Thailand account today. The effective rate after deductions (£20 BKK Bank London + Thailand variable charge) was 53.86 to the pound. Pretty pleased with that!

Deposit went in Friday mid-afternoon and money had arrived first thing Monday. Great service.

  • I agree with Bahtboy, I also send money monthly from Santander Bank in the Uk via Bangkok Bank London Branch to my Bangkok Bank account. No problems at all and relatively cheap and a quick service.

So the only advantage of sending via BKK Bank London is speed?

I bank with Lloyds, I do an online payment to my BKK Bank AC in Thailand and the money is sent by Lloyds as GBP and is converted in Thailand into Baht. Cost is GBP10.00.

What is the advantage of going through BKK Bank London apart from being 1 day quicker?

Has anyone that makes transfers from Natwest via Bangkok bank london managed to set up 2 payees. I was unsuccessful because the acc. no. and sort code are always the same although the ref. no. is different.
