Can I borrow charging cord for Nook e-reader?

Well, actually it's not for me, but for Brian at Pern's Restaurant on Huey Kaew Rd., across from the Shell Station. A female customer left her Nook e-reader on the bar last week. She was using it while waiting for a dining companion.

Brian turned the forgotten Nook e-reader tablet on and found that it wasn't password protected. He was trying to check her contacts to learn how to reach her when it lost its charge. He even went so far as to go to Pantip to try to buy a new charger cord, but no luck. He says it looks like an Ipad charger should work but it doesn't.

He says the customer seemed like a nice lady and he'd like to get the Nook e-reader tablet back to her. Could someone let Brian at Pern's borrow a Nook e-reader charger cord for a day? PM me if you'd like to help.

(Yeah, I know the Nook isn't as popular as the Kindle, but there has to be at least one or two Nook users in Chiang Mai.)

Nook takes a standard USB to mini USB which are used on many cameras/smartphones. You probably have one lying around. Just plug it into a computer to charge.

Thanks, FolkGuitar for bringing by the Samsung charger cord, but it didn't plug into the Nook. Fiberman, Brian tried every cord he and his restaurant staff owns without any luck. Went to Pantip Plaza and Kad Suan Kaew on the same mission. No luck.

I consulted the internet and find that this is a big complaint with the Nook -- you must use the Nook charger cord to charge a Nook.

I have Nook (Original) and it uses a standard micro USB, same as Kindle, Nokia windows phones, and most Android phones.

Maybe it's different on the new ones.

OK, it must be the Nook HD you have, custom cable, B&N announced they aren't selling own brand tablets any more.

Another 'failed' tablet.
