June 3, 200620 yr Hi. I will go to bangkok in september and stay for about 10 days. How much can I expect a nice wedding dress to cost, where should I buy it, and will they make it in a week:) if not, can i order it in advance and find it ready then? tnx.
June 5, 200620 yr I have used Marty's tailors on Sukhumwit. They do a decent job and are reasonably priced. I think it would be possible to make a dress in a week depending on how fancy it was going to be. I wouldn't even think about getting it started before you arrive. You'll want to check out the fabric etc. I would have thought that this thread would have more replies in the ladie's section.
June 5, 200620 yr Many, many wedding studios on Sukhumvit 55, Thonglor. I second that. Probably the highest concentration of wedding studios in bangkok are in this soi.

Not all Ladies live in Bangkok But you are correct, it is best to check it all out beforehand. 10 days should be fine.
June 5, 200620 yr Author Hi folks. Tnx for the information. Now I know where to go. How much could I expect it to cost? 5000 Bath or more like 50000 Bath? I guess Thai silk is really expensive!? /Karnbo
June 6, 200620 yr there are wedding shops everywhere. you can hire from 1,500 baht up (and do the same for men's suit).
June 6, 200620 yr You will find most of the good shops along Sukhumvit Soi55 , Thonglor , as other members have already mentioned. 10days should be enough. They are not cheap and THB 50k will give you a dress in the upper market bracket.
