Maybe 3 months of low season will cure me ;)

I'm assuming that the tourist horde (in central Patts) will dim after Songkran - thoughts ?

Edited by MrWorldwide

It's already dead...traffic is noticibly down, the malls are near empty (except weekends), and my regular restaurants and coffee shops too. Except for festival and long Thai holiday weekends, and the uptick for songkran, the the next 6&7 months should be heaven.

Maybe there's been a recent pre- Easter rush of the slavic kind but apart from the city being pretty moribund since the start of February, what exactly does the OP have that needs a cure?

Sonkran ,ah a week of staying around the house ,while the tourist morons soak each other.

OP, haven't you heard?

TAT, has started a new campaign to lure tourists in Thailand.

And as TAT always does the right thing, I believe Pattaya will be full of tourists again, in a short time.

Thanks for the feedback, guys - esp heartened by OMGImInPattaya's post.

@NanLaew, 3 months on Suk Soi 22 in BKK cured me of the desire to ever live in that part of the world again - big time - 3 months in downtown Patts should achieve the same miracle cure. Might be completely different on the Darkside and elsewhere in Greater Pattaya, but I'll be in the middle of a dystopic Disneyland : think happy thoughts ;)
