Bangkok Bank with full on options is the way to go.

Must say that their micro-branches are fantastic, always discovering new uses for them, much better than going down to Silom (except Int. Remittance)

Now with their Internet banking option its (almost) perfect.

You are being too picky.

Have you such a bank in your home country?

If the odd 10 or 20 baht for using your ATM in another province is too much for you, I will not tell you which bank I am very happy with.

Bangkok Bank has been just fine for many years. We use the Doi Saket branch and they have been really helpful over the years. We enjoy going there, great staff, management and service.

If you live in central bangkok, and 3 million+ assets, consider Citibank or HSBC. Get treated like a boss literally haha. Walk in, have your own personal relationship banker, sit in your own "5-star hotel-like" room, your banker makes coffee for you, then when everything is done, escorts you out. And with these banks since they only have 1-2 branches in Thailand, they allow free use of ATM at other branches of other banks all over Thailand. They know their weak spot so they compensate it themselves for the customers.

Good luck!

HSBC Thailand individual accounts no more. It is a dead parrot.

One minor difference: with Bangkok Bank I have to go into a branch to open a new fixed deposit account (though I can add more money to an existing fixed deposit via the Internet). With Bank of Ayudhaya (Krung Sri) this can all be done on-line.

Thanks for all the opinions. I made notes from all the comments and bangkok bank had the most positive out of all the banks. But as many people say it will depend on the actual branch. cheers
