Putting this thread here rather than computer and internet as probably more TWS users visit this thread.

Since Mon a.m. my TWS won't load symbols and streaming data at startup - last two days data indicator red. Troubleshooting with support suggested NOT my PC, not server side and significant (up to 50%) packet loss all suggest the problem caused by internet quality.

Anybody else having these issues?

P.S,. For those scratching their heads as to what this is about, TWS is a order entry and data software program for a stockbroker (IB)

Forgot to point out that a few years ago IB set the TWS internet quality check settings at too high a bar even for some in US and had to adjust back down as TWS became unusable for many - not just me and people in rural Rumania.

As the problem first occurred after weekend shutdown was wondering if they had done something like that again. Rep in HK might not be in the loop.

Working fine on my end, with and without my vpn connected.

How's your internet connection in general? Speedtest?

I'm using build 941.2c

Works just fine here in the north with TOT.

In the evening , speeds to the US are slower and TWS is then a bit slower but works fine.

Ludacris, BuaBS thanks for your replies. I am getting some functionality back. yesterday data indicator green but no symbols loading, today symbols and data loading but still not functioning 100%.
