I'm not sure how many of you people are bus riders, but the bus drivers in Bangkok have become my newest pet peeve in LOS. What is with these guys? Most of them driver the bus like it's a tuk tuk. Someone told me recently there's little to no certification or training for bus drivers. Is this true? When I'm on one of those things, watching it swerve into the oncoming lane just to get ahead of a few cars, then bring traffic to a halt by jolting back into the proper lane, I feel very little hope for this country.

Yeah, bus drivers are a kind of their own. However, I've been driving with them for over 2 years now almost every day and never had anything close to an accident.
