Three new channels - Fox Family Moves, Fox Premium Movies, and Nat Geo.

Also the EPG is now showing entries for Fox Crime. Pressing the red button after EPG will show an alternative view. Hopefully all channels will soon get that too.

Looks like you can possibly attach an HD and record stuff - would be interested to know if anybody gets/has got that working.

I have not used but the HD box has the ability to record and wife has started such when watching normal TV rather than the recordings on thumb drive by pressing the pause. Not sure of correct format to use as instructions are only in Thai for box but it does make a new folder on drive and appears to be recording if you accidentally press pause on control when watching TV program (and totally freeze every other control - so have had to power off to reset and let her watch normal TV again). Thai refuse to read manuals - I would if I could.

Just tried it myself - this was with the white box, and an NTFS-formatted HD. Everything seems to work fine, and didn't have any problems with the pause control and freezing (though may not have pressed pause while recording come to think of it).

I only recorded a minute of programming, but it appeared to work fine. Seems to use about 50mb/minute, so about 3gb/hour.

The on-screen menu is English for me - not sure if yours is or not - so it was all self-explanatory.

In our case do not know what the start/stop record buttons are (suspect the colored row?) but wife presses pause (when watching TV) as she normally does when answering a phone call when watching playback from thumb drive and that causes lock-up of remote (perhaps end record would still work if I know what it was). Trying to read anything on the remote itself is really hard as writing is tiny.

I did get translation of the system codes and changed to English menu early on.

Yes the red button starts recording, and also stops it (you can also use the button with a black square on it to stop it.)

The bottom right key brings up the PVR menu.

I've just tried the pause key while recording, and it works fine here. Seems to continue recording while pausing playback. It seems you can even record tv while playing back a file.

Odd that pause is giving you problems - maybe it's thumb drive vs HD? Or maybe it only happens after it's been recording/playing for a long time?

Thanks for the record information. Believe you misunderstand - it is pressing pause when not recording or watching thumb drive program - doing so freezes last frame on TV and there does not appear to be any way to start TV viewing again. Pause works fine when using recorded content (movie selection) as you can press play to start again.

Yes wasn't quite sure what you meant - presumably it starts recording so that you can resume where you left off.

Just checked and it works fine here - pressing pause brings up a 'entering time shift mode' message, then when you unpause it carries on and shows a bar of where you are in relation to where the program now actually is.

Again this is with the white box and an HD - maybe different box or different media type might be a cause.

I wonder if your thumbdrive's write speed is capable of 1mb/sec, or alternatively if thumbdrives can be write protected.

PVR appears to work fine and have found able to get out of the pause mistake by pressing the black square key so all is well. Had not happened to me so was now aware of alert message. Did manage to get another system lock-up while experimenting this morning but not sure what the process was - in any event a re-boot cleared it. Also found there is direct access to PVR at bottom right key so would be easy to use for those wanting (one less menu step - normally use USB key).

When watching normal TV the pause button starts recording - maybe it freezes if a thumbdrive/hd isn't connected? Anyway, pleased you got it working now.
