If we prefer political analysis over polls, let's take a look...

* Deep divisions along socio-economic class, ethnic, regional, and political lines;

* failure to accept the outcome of free and fair elections;

* refusal to adhere to the rule of law; and

* use of violence as a means to accomplish political objectives.

Yep, it looks like the conditions are right for civil war.
