Extension of stay with spouse?

"The financial wizards say to put madame on the fist line of all accounts cause she is expected to live longer etc. Isn't there something where the spouse can get and extension of stay,retirement, using the the spouse vise extension???

If both spouses are 50 or over either one can apply of the extension of stay based upon retirement. The account cannot be a joint bank account unless you can put 1.6 million baht in the account. Otherwise it must be in the applicants name only.

After one spouse gets the extension based upon retirement the other can apply for an extension as their dependent.

The dependent extension requires your marriage certificate in English. Copies of passport photo page visa, entry/permit to stay stamp and TM6 departure card. Plus the one with the extension based upon retirement passport photo page and extension of stay copies. A completed TM7 form with attached photo.

It also requires they have a non immigrant visa entry which in most cases will be from a non immigrant O visa. If they don't have one it will require a trip to a nearby embassy or consulate to get one.
