Condo or room lease (need an address)

Featured Replies

Hi, I need a Thai address in order to open a bank account at Kaisikorn. I need to prove this by way of a lease.

Has anyone any idea of who to go to to sign up the cheapest lease possible to allow me to do this? I don't need to live in the accomodation, just need the paperwork. The bank requirement is not a legal one but one the branch imposes so I do not feel it is offside taking this approach.

You've been trying for a long time if your other posts are anything to go by but you're being knocked back because you can't meet some awfully basic requirements; namely, a proper Thai address and proof of that address. I'm sure you're smart enough to know that those are standard in pretty much every country.

Your reasons for opening a bank account in Thailand when you don't even live here and never intend to live here are entirely your business but without the basics, you shouldn't really be surprised that they treat you like they smell a rat.

Eh nope, you are completely wrong as I got a full service account with Thanachart last week and also a hopelessly limited account with Bangkok Bank a few weeks ago (I will be throwing that right back at them next time I am passing). I just really want a Kasikorn account as I like their online offering an in general feel better about them. I live in Cambodia and feel somewhat nervous of keeping all my cash here. I could keep it back in Europe but rather have some close by. Nothing sinister here, move along.
