Dental Implants Bangkok

I never had implants myself but my colleague had two of her implants done at Thantakit International and she said that her experience was superb. She was actually the one who recommended it to me when I needed some fillings done a couple of years ago. Visited the place around 4 times already and I could say that I personally had an amazing experience with them.

What exactly is an "implantologist" and how do you find one? I see many, what I consider shady 'medical' practices, that offer doctors - skim whitening comes to mind. If you search BKK + implants you'll end up with hundreds of places. So how does one distinguish the good guys from bad. Just in this post, there are many conflicting stories about certain clinics.

BTW: In 1996 I had 2 implants put in where molars had gone bad. This was in US. First I had a dental surgeon do the implants, then after 9 months my regular dentist installed crowns. Those 2 implants are still in great shape which seems to amaze my Thai dentist leading me to think implant service in Thailand might be a bit suspect. I now need 2 implants on other side of my mouth but have kinda put it off due to pricing and my budget.

Bangkok International Dental Hospital has the implantologyst' who are also professors at university that teach most Dr. who do implants here . Researched this for many years before I started mine and learned much . So many other places are actually dangerous . Get cone 3D scan and take to many places and do homework and see if you too not find Bangkok International Dental hospital unmatched .

What we think we become ...

What was your experience with Bangkok International Dental hospital? Were you happy with the results?

My experience there has always been amazing and this organization has no equal in Thailand . I am now waiting for next round of Implants there when the full ceramic implants that came out from this company that is number one are available at BIDC . Strumann is the top manufacture for implants in the world and what BIDC uses . You get what you pay for and if clinics use implants that are not Strumann then you take big risk for almost unthinkable implant failure or breakage that makes extraction necessary and starting all over again for anyone trying to save money on implants possibly save money somewhere else because this could be a costly mistake.

Below is an article I saw today about how much this company growing because it's the top choice for people coming from other countries here because of it track record and peoples experience . Go visit main location and just investigate or get a cleaning don't believe me or others see for yourself the most amazing companies anywhere for dental care and at very fair prices not the cheapest but not most expensive either .

I've had quite a bit of dental work completed by Bangkok International Dental Centre out on Th Ratchadaphisek (near Huay Khwang MRT). I originally went there to check them out after quite a bit of online and personal research(similar to that previous poster)...., My teeth were in a bad way and I was stuck between a rock and a hard place - it was either dentures or have the series of crowns, implants and bone grafts that I've now almost completed. Initially I was very concerned about the path that was mapped out for me, but every visit became easier and less stressful. The very first day I was in the chair for a total of 8 hours(7 root canals)..., using a yoga breathing technique I went into a kind of trance..., the specialist had to put poly wedges in the corner of my mouth as apparently I was starting to nod off and even snore..., it was crazy ! Anyway the 7 root canals and crowns were done by 9:30pm..., and with no residual pain whatsoever, I was told to go and eat - which I did heartily and enjoyed a serious curry and a refreshing beer or 3.
Many more visits of progressively shorter duration followed that first marathon effort. Now.., thinking back I am still gobsmacked by the whole thing. Back in Australia, I've had the opinion of an ordinary dentist and a dental surgeon - they were both very complimentary of the quality of my dental work..., the dental surgeon was positively evangelical..., very reassuring. I spent a fair splash of cash but it was still 1/3 to 1/4 of what I would have had to spend in Oz.
This coming April, I'll visit BIDC again for the final time(implants) and I can honestly say I am really looking forward to it !biggrin.png

Dear Sandy and Lumbini

I am very interested in your reports. I am in the middle of trying to make a decision on major work (4 implants, 10 crowns etc.) that will also require complex surgery due to an embedded tooth that I have (it sits on a nerve).

I have researched a few of the major players in BKK , however as someone else mentioned , it is important to identify the dentist (or in my case oral surgeon/implantologist) not just the clinic.

I would very much appreciate it , if you could both let me know what the outcome of your experiences were with BIDC and who specifically done the work. If you are not comfortable sharing that in an open forum, please simply PM.

Many Thanks
