3 months visa from HCMC, Vietnam

Featured Replies

Is there any problem getting 3 months dbl-entry visa (6 months total) from HCMC, Vietnam?

Why, by the way, should it be different from one embassy to another? Shouldn't they all do the same...?

Thanks.

The is no 3 month tourist visa. A tourist visa allows a permit to stay of 60 days on entry that can be extended for 30 day at immigration.

The consulate in HCMC only does single entry visas.

Vientiane and Savannakhet Laos do 2 entry tourist visas.

Every embassy and consulate can set their own rules for the visas they will issue.

Single entry and HCMC... does it mean 60+30?

One 60 day entry that can be extended for 30 days.

Not many reports on obtaining a Thai tourist visa in HCMC.

I did so back in January this year, single entry.( 60 days)

I was asked to show proof of travel from HCMC in to Thailand as well as proof of exit from Thailand within the 60 day period.

Strict on that, just in case you are not aware.( I had a just about to expire 1 year non imm o visa in my passport, no prior tourist visa though.)

Positive, very quiet at the Consulate, you`ll unlikely be queuing for long, go in the morning, collect the following afternoon.

Also I thought HCMC was great, it was my first trip there.

Thanks for the post. I'll be going to HCMC on a visa run for the first time in June. I was wondering about the proof of exit from Thailand. In the past, at other Thai embassies, I have always had an exit flight scheduled for 90 days, not 60. No problems. Maybe I better get in touch with them before I go there and come up empty.thumbsup.gif
