This person has been going around genuine business's all over the Island, and taking, in one case, 3 motor cars and 10 motor bikes, She pays 1 month in advance offers passport or other id as security. She has sold the motors on... she is in the monkey house.

starcandle
So far over 20 victims have come forward and the vehicles are countless. This is theft on a grand scale, not a failure to return 1 item.

evadgib
So far over 20 victims have come forward and the vehicles are countless. This is theft on a grand scale, not a failure to return 1 item. ...therefore a mugshot & good quality scan of hirers ID should be the norm, along with CCTV footage of the transaction. I saw a fixed camera recently that was supplied by one of the sponsors of this board that was sourced & fitted for less than the cost of a days 4x4 car hire. AlfGarnett
A similar scam is carried out by a woman in Nathon called Jarowan. Police have a big file on her, but she just does a bit of time, pays the fine and is out up to her tricks again. Possibly the same woman, this scam is easily done as the police are not exactly kicking down doors looking for the vehicles, it is up to the rental company how much they want to pursue it.
