Tell me if I’m reading this correctly. As I read this it tells me that if I update my existing non-immigrant one year multiple entry visa (that expires in December 2006) say in Phuket, that I can get one for a three year duration for the same price as one year. I’m use to the fact that nothing is free in Asia and question what I’m seeing…… http://www.thaiimmigration.com/Fees/Fees.pdf

it says if you are from a member country of APEC

there was talk about a real 3 year multi --- don't know of any embassy offering one though

The 5,000 baht fee is for a visa issued outside of Thailand; not for something you obtain in Phuket. Believe you also need an APEC business card, not just a resident of an APEC country.
