Retirement Ext Renewal

Quick question,my retirement ext expires on the 5th of May,my next 90 day report is the 15th of May,when do I go to renew the Ext before the 5th on the 5th or the 15th I really don't wanna be around redshirt central when the CC makes it decision .Can I go earlier before it expires...........Thanks

You have to go on or before the day of your extention date. If you go later you have to start the process again with getting a new non o visa.

Before the 5th. Your 90 day report date is nothing to do with renewing your retirement extension, strange as that might sound. You can usually (I think) renew retirement up to 3 weeks before the expiry date of your extension.

Extensions are normally done withing the last 30 days of the permission to stay date.

Some offices allow 45 days early.

You don't lose any time by extending early.

You can do your extension at any time now.

If you went on the 1st of May you could do your 90 day report at the same time (15 day early rule). Or mail it in if you do your extension earlier.

Since different lists had different answers, I called the nice folks at 1111 and learned that Yes, they will be open on the 1st. It seems that mostly just banks and some other private businesses will be closed on Labour Day.

Thanks for the replies and info about the hols ,on a mission to get it all done before May who knows what will happen,where is this "Hollywood" office? as I have to go to the Aussie embassy before the IMM dept is the Hollywood office closer to the Aussie embassy than having to go to the big C office?
