Has any member located in Pattaya or surrounds seen this new model in the stores yet?

I have done the rounds of all the major stores and of course, most of the staff does not even know it exists let alone when they may get some stock.

Fotfofile has them, but really don't feel like a trip to Bangkok...

I ordered a lens from them one afternoon and sent them the money, plus EMS charge by bank transfer at around 1400. I didn't hear back from them, so was about to ring them the following day to confirm they had received the cash, when the lens arrived at my condo in Pattaya! Less than 24 hours from order to receipt, and they gave me a free protective filter for the lens.

I got one at the Canon shop on level 3 in Central for 27,900 which is the same price as Fotofile in BKK. Fotofile had a promotion at 25,900 when they first got stock but that only lasted about a week.

Overall the review is not bad. Remember it's only a compact camera.

I am upgrading from an old Pentax compact used as a "put on pocket, carry around". Lugging the 1DX or my back up 5DIII is too much for general sight seeing or a few candid snaps at dinner.
