I work for a Thai university. The university pays me 8000 baht each month for housing. Does anyone know how I report this on my US taxes? I believe that if I wasn't paid this amount, I could take the US housing allowance, so this is in lieu of the allowance and I shouldn't have to pay tax on it. Do I report the amount on line 7 (Wages, salaries, ...)? If I report it on line 7, I don't see a place where it is later deducted. Thank you.
