I'm going to take a couple of weeks just driving/relaxing around the country. Am looking for recommendations for an hotel roughly midway on the drive from Chiangmai to Udon Thani. It needn't be in a town centre and my budget would be (an agoda price of say) 2k baht.

Also in or around Udon itself.
