problems sending sms to oz using dtac phone

Featured Replies

Im trying to sms a friend in syders and not having much luck using my Dtac trinet phone. Ive tried using the + symbol. Ive tried putting 009 and 004 in front of the 61 code but cant connect with the nanny state of australia.

Can you please advise how to do this.

thanks

You shouldn't be using 009 or 004 unless making a call. + 61 should work.

Are you sure you have to proper number string for your friend? Maybe you have to drop or add certain digits, like the leading Zero here in Thailand? And that they have a mobile phone?

What is the failure mode? That is, how do you know the SMS is not being sent and/or delivered?

What is the reply to *101*9# send/call?

http://www.dtac.co.th/en/postpaid/services/oo4sms.html

so it looks like the total with VAT would be 8.56 baht.

I too have no problem at all with DTAC using +61.

As mentioned, make sure your phone is not set up with 004 or 009 for making voice calls.
