visa or stay on arrival

There's a chance that my visa will not arrive on time for my flight.Meaning I might have them send me my passport back without the stamp.Can I still get my 30 days stay when I arrive at airport ,stay 30 days,and then fly out of country and back and get another 30 days.Plus my flight documents shows that I fly out in 2 months.

What type of visa did you apply for? Where?

I cannot foresee them not being able to complete your visa before sending your passport back to you.

I blame it on the company that was handling it,long story.

If the company has your passport and it is not at an embassy or consulate yet I would get it back from them.

think going in and getting the 30 day at airport and then fly out in 29 days and back in should be OK,I hope.

There is only one embassy and there are 3 official consulates plus several honorary consulates located all over the US.

You can also get a new 30 day visa exempt entry at a border crossing since you are from the US (G7 country rule).

Can a Filipino get a visa on arrival in Thailand too since the country is a member of Asean?

Thanks Ubonjoe! I was recently in Philippines and at the Manila Embassy (staffed mainly by Filipinos) we were told repeatedly that a Filipino had to apply for a visa as a tourist and pay a Visa fee. ????

See attached visa visa application form where the petitioner had to sign agreeing that should the visa not be granted the fee would not be refunded.

After I said that Philippines was a member of ASEAN, they did not know what that meant. Why I am not surprised?

The info you gave me (which I relayed and adviced to print and keep with the passport on arrival) is going to help my Filipino friend when arriving in Swampy.

Immigration on arrival will know that they get the 30 day entry. It will not be a problem.

The statement about no refund is on all visa application forums that I have seen. But at most places they will tell you not to even bother to apply if you don't qualify for the visa.
