Really Neat New Travel Website - Hopper

Featured Replies

I just found out about this website:

www.hopper.com

I'd love to hear others thoughts about this. The neat features are the price map, and the when to fly tool. Pretty amazing. Here's their data and research page:

Check out their data for BKK, amazing:

And the details they give you on specific city pairs, I did BKK => ATH:

Very cool website!

"I'd love to hear others thoughts about this."

Doesn't seem to tell me anything useful that SkyScanner etc doesnt tell me.

Seems to tell me a load of things I'm not interested in (the weather in London, for example).

Prices seem to be fixed in USD and cannot be changed.

The first thing I see on the site is a button to "sign up". I don't do that.

It's very much aimed at people starting their journeys in the US, but for others some of the articles seem to be worth a look - for instance this "foodie's" guide http://www.hopper.com/articles/16/a-foodies-guide-to-the-american-south and others.

Thanks for posting smile.png

The page took too long to load (more than 20 sek), so i guess i will not be using this.

I don't see the same data in skyscanner. This shows the best day/month to buy a ticket, trends in prices and activity, prices over time, etc. Also, the chart shows prices to a variety of destinations from BKK. Kinda nice for planning purposes.

The articles are US centric, unfortunately, but the data and research are global.

As for signing up, it's no biggie to me. I have an alternate email address that I use for sites like this. And it loaded instantly for me.

I've compared the prices it shows for some destinations I'm looking at and they do show the best prices.

Thanks for the site has potential

for use in the future

It looks good to me. I will peruse it further, along with adioso, for my upcoming trip. Thanks for posting.

No AirAsia info, I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
