Vietnam Visa from Australia

Recommended Posts

Can anyone please tell me the best way to get a Vietnamese visa from Australia?

Should we be worried about getting a visa on arrival at Ho Chi Minh airport?

Best advice please!.My brother and his Thai wife are heading there soon from Australia, so Thai related in that sense.

Thai passport holders get 30 days on arrival, so no visa issues there.

I was just there with some Aussie friends, and the could somehow organise a visa on arrival. Whether it was via some sort of online portal, or a specialist agency, I'm not sure.

It's a commercial organisation, but it seems to work myvietnamvisa.com

You pay these guys a fee, they send you a letter which allows you to board the aircraft, when you arrive in Vietnam you go to the Visa on arrival desk, pay a further fee and are issued with a visa.

Reports say that it works very well in Hanoi, it also seems to work in HCM, but it is apparently a bit of a rugby scrum.

I think this would be the best and easiest way. Sort it before going, makes it a bit easier once you get there also.

Appreciated advice from all thankyou!

Thai passport holders do not need visa to visit Vietnam. The best way you can get a Vietnam visa is upon arrival, no hassles, fast and cheap. You do not need to visit embassy and normally you will receive your visa approval letter in 2 days. After you have the letter, you need only print it out and bring with you go to airports, when you arrive in Vietnam, you will get visa at the airport at immigration desk.

You have to pay for apply service fee (you pay for travel company) + stamping fee (you pay when you get visa at the airports)
The service fee is from $10 to 20 depend on the travel company, be advised that only international travel company can apply Vietnam visa on arrival for you and stamping fee is never changed US$ 45 for 1 and 3 months single visa and $65 for 1 month multi visa.
