What special leads do I need to connect external amplifier and speakers to my computer. In laymans terms please.

some tips found here

http://www.teamcombooks.com/mp3handbook/10.htm

Good resource :o

Simplified version:-

1. Plug one end to fit PC phones or line out socket (usually a 3.5mm strereo jack)

2. Plug the other end to fit the aux or tape input of the amp (often 2x RCA phono plugs)

3. Long enough to reach between the two

Unless you have something strange, your local supermarket (Tesco) should have suitable leads.

Still not that simple. Do I need a stereo card as mentioned in the tips I was given, or can I connect the amp direct to the com using a special lead.

Or is the stereo card the bit in the computer with all the plugs (pink, green, blue)?
