Other than flying what are the options for travelling Patong to Chiang Mai for a short 4-day break?

Bus,train or car,but your 4 day break will get eaten up mostly by travelling,stick to the flight.

What walk, approx. 1,400 kms to there in 4 days You will never get there, much better to Fly up there. Koh Samui is same, same as Patong, so go up North for something different if you wish.
