some advise please,,,,,my 90 days runs out late may ,,,planning to do a visa run before that date,,so i will have permmision to stay until late august,,,,i now have to go on a trip outside thailand in june for a few days,,and my visa will have expired when i return ,,,i guess then i will just get 30 days ,,,,is that correct ?

You will only get 30 days.

You could get a re-entry permit (1000 baht) that would keep the remainder of your 90 day entry valid when your return. You can apply for it at an immigration office or if leaving from either Bangkok airport 24 hours a day on departure from the country.
