I assume you have a multiple entry non-o visa.

Ranong is where most people go to from Phuket for a border crossing to Myanmar.

You just depart Thailand, enter Myanmar, then depart and return to Thailand.

Ahh ok

So when I go into Myanmar would I have to take any documents with me ?

And maybe stay there for a night ?

I sound stupid I know just a beginner at this haha

Thanks

No documents needed other than your passport.

No overnight stay is needed.

Something no one has mentioned, take as many good luck charms as you can carry, also, a few tranquilisers and sleep all the way to and from Ranong... Good luck and a safe journey, a journey everyone should experience at least once... some sadly never get a second chance.

If you use a visa run company make sure you do the Andaman Club run.Just a little more expensive but well worth it.

As said these mini bus journeys are not for the faint hearted. Maniac immature useless drivers.

I think someone tried to start a visa run car share thing on facebook

Chelsea, it's really quite a simple process, if you go with a visa run company, from memory it's 1500 baht, this includes a breakfast stop, the ferry to/from, Burma, $US10 for Burmese immigration, and lunch, there are no other costs. But I have to be honest, it can be a frightening ride in the mini bus, best to take a book, or something else to keep you occupied, or look out the SIDE windows, do not look out the windscreen.

I too am new to this visa run and will be changing my visa so I do not have to make these runs. In the mean time, I am going to be in Chumphon. Where do I go for my first visa run?

Same place that is being discussed in this topic.

Ranong or the Andaman club.

Where is Ranong or the the Andaman Club? Is it expensive? could you give me an estimate of the total costs involved? How do I get to either place?

There is some info in this pinned topic on the Southern Thailand forum. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/509800-maats-guide-to-living-near-chumphon-town/

For more info I suggest you post a topic on that forum with your questions.

Removed a troll post and the reply to it.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
