I see Mac Walen mention this in another thread so I wonder if this is a official plans to change retirement visa to 55? Any one have any real information or

is it pure speculations? I would not be surprised but I really need to find out so I can start packing, Darn, only time I was happy to getting old was when I made 50

and now I would have headache again and wait for 55. Hope some one have some information about this.

As far as I know that is only a unfounded rumor. And even if they did change the age it would only apply to new applications for extensions of stay. They would not tell all those under 55 with extensions already to pack up and leave.
