US Marines, Satellite locate missing girls in Sambisa forest
By Emeka Okonkwo

Military sources have stated that a combined team of security agents in the field and back up communications and satellite imagery specialists have located the missing girls inside the dreaded Sambisa forest.

The United States marines were also said to have used communications equipment to intercept a mobile phone call from a Boko Haram informant to insurgents giving them information on the movement of the marines and Nigerian security forces. The informant is said to have been arrested in Maiduguri and handed over to security officials.

This new information about the girls is said to be proof of a conspiracy to mislead the Nigerian public into believing that some of the girls had been sold into neighbouring countries.

The United States marines are expected to lead rescue efforts in conjunction with other special forces from France, the United Kingdom and of course local troops to retrieve the girls and return them to their families.

I would like to think it would be strictly a local security force operation. The last thing we need now is for all the jihadists coming out saying Muslims are being targeted by the west again.

You miss the point...

It's not a question of negativity. Life is not like a video game and even the best trained cannot guarantee success in a chaotic situation. Watch the video clip with Robin Horsfall.

All sorts of efforts are being and will be made to secure the release of these unfortunate captives but operating in northern Nigeria is no cake-walk.

The last thing we are likely to hear is the truth, namely non-Muslims are being targeted by jihadists precisely due to them not being Muslim. It also appears the Nigerian government either can't or won't get to grips with Islamists, so any help they receive is welcome.

Trust the Americans, can't keep their traps shut...

Now everybody knows the Americans know where they are, and guess what, when the rescuers get there they will have moved as they heard the news too, probably tied their mobile phone to mountain goats and started using jungle drums to communicate.

Did your crystal ball tell you it was the Americans that outed the information?

A link might be nice to back up your allegation.

This report appears in no credible mainstream media outlets anywhere in the world currently and it is over 24 hours old.

I would temper the jubilation until some solid credible media reports and verification come in.

I searched for the story myself. Seemed extremely unusual for any info to be released such as intercepting a cell phone call, particularly when everything is still ongoing. Why would anyone say how they figured out that someone was involved?

Also unusual to throw in a line like this:

This new information about the girls is said to be proof of a conspiracy to mislead the Nigerian public into believing that some of the girls had been sold into neighbouring countries.

Seems like someone has an agenda in getting the story out, whether true or not.

Official story is no Marines in the country. Could of course be a lie, but they are probably correct that the photo attached to the story about the US Marines assisting in the arrest is not from Nigeria.

Yeah, like they don't already believe that all non-Muslims must convert or die.

The important and only imperative thing is that those girls get rescued.

There are some people, you know, who believe that some things are worth dying for.

Ok, very clear now, these guys have no clue what they are doing. Why give away the fact that there's people looking for these guys? How do you run special ops when there's people blabbing all of the place what's going on, for their own political purposes. Is the 3 months ultimatum to lull them into a false sense of security?

Then let them die for it. We have died enough in foreign lands for foreign causes.

Some people can't be helped. They need to help themselves first. If just one of the boys gets hurt doing this job I will be well pi$$ed.

Unfortunately in some countries "authorities" are more than useless at doing anything. The place I live now is one.............facepalm.gif
