samran
Just crossed from Vientiane to Nong Khai. Asked about this new directive to stop border bounces. Guy at immigration told me it is aimed at Koreans. When I asked why he said that Thais are being turned away by Korean authorities when they arrive despite there being a visa free arrangement. So this appears to be retaliation. For Nong Khai at least, he said they don't have any issues with 'pwuak Euro's' . So that is the latest as of 10 mins ago. ubonjoe
Thanks for the info. The bit about Koreans is also mentioned here Thailand visa: Crackdown banning 'walk-in visa runs' to begin August 13 "The notice also explained that Immigration officials were targeting specific nationalities “such as Koreans”. No need for an additional topic about this. This topic
