New visa rules

Hi TV members

I would like some advise on these new visa rules. Just to let you know I have a triple entry tourist visa I leave the country for six weeks then return for six weeks not for any propose but to spend my leave from work their. Do you think these new rules are going to effect me

There are no new rules -- just enforcing the existing rules

As long as you have a valid visa or are granted an extension of stay by immigrations (and re-entry permit if required) you should not have a problem. The current "crack down" is aimed at those who rely on visa exempt entries to the country.

If you are getting back to back tourist visas continuously because of your work, it's always possible that the embassy/consulate issuing them or immigrations officers at your point of entry will question whether or not you are a genuine tourist. As jpinx said, these are not new rules, but stricter enforcement of existing rules. Tourist visas and visa exempt entries are not really intended for people who want to be long term residents.
