gppower
I would like to make her visit for two- three weeks. I think easiest Visa to obtain is the Tourist type, correct me if I am wrong. Has any of you had the same experience (a forum search didn't help). In general, what is the cost of the Tourist Visa? And above all what is the wait? I wanted to plan the trip in August this year Is the passport a prerequisite to apply? Being a tourist Visa do I need to provide any documentation as her "host"? Ambassade de France en Thaïlande No, no, I'm not French but I'm based (stuck) in France. She is Thai and living in Thailand. I would like her to visit for a couple of weeks. In any case, a lot of pointers in your post...Thank you.
eddie eagle
Hi gppower, did you manage to get a schengen visa? Any advice would be welcome. Background to this request is that I am transferring to France for 6 months for work before going on to to the middle east (oil industry) and want to bring the TGF into France for a visit. I have had a look at the French Embassy website but its all in French and I don't speak French.
farangsay
Hi gppower, did you manage to get a schengen visa? Any advice would be welcome. Background to this request is that I am transferring to France for 6 months for work before going on to to the middle east (oil industry) and want to bring the TGF into France for a visit. I have had a look at the French Embassy website but its all in French and I don't speak French. I got one a couple of times for a TGF. First time I was in BKK and the second time I just mailed papers out from France and the girl did it herself. Important requirement is the girl's income. I vaguely remember that had to be 20kB/month. A bank account showing that kind of money coming in would cover that. At the French consulate the guy (and he was very helpful) gave me a list of the requirements. If you PM me the embassy website link I'll have a look and try and translate for you. Cheers Edit : PS My memory is a bit vague because this was a few years ago now.
