They do send abroad to business.

Unfortunately, that would entail getting the appropriate import licence and paying import charges.

I remember watching an episode of "The Edwardian Farm" (a BBC TV programme in which historians live as Edwardian farmers for a year) in which they made clotted cream. It was a simple process, with no high tech involved. Make it yourself might be the best option if you can't find a source in Thailand.

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.

I am exploring the situation with Roddas. Obviously that would be the ideal solution. I am also trying to make clotted cream at home (that is good enough to eat!)

I was wondering if anyone knew of a Thai producer at all?

I would be very carful buying any dairy product in Thailand as not enough care is taken, with this heat and many supermarkets turning down their fridges overnight.

as for getting it fresh what about chok-chai-farm.they do sell milk and icecream from their dairy herd.

I've never had a problem with buying milk or cream that's gone bad. Frankly, I think it would be nuts and financially self destructive for a supermarket to endanger their dairy products.
