Sounds like hillbilly inbreeding if nothing else. Hopefully it was intended to be silly or sarcastic...but I don't think so. None of the individuals I know in BKK who go to the opposition rally are getting bribes/handouts. But..I have yet to consult my brothers' wife's sisters' mom's dad's so how would I know?! mikemac
It looks like Mr. Dubai wrote a few checks, I hope for the redshirts the they are not canceled before the can have there money. But if that happens there will be enough police officers availible to take there complain that they didn't get paid. Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app Tell you what, if these red terrorists went to BKK to cause havoc and found out down there that they not getting paid, you would see the biggest mass exodus out of the city in living memory. Would that be why Abhisit and Suthep increased the age of free education from 12 to 15 while the Dems were in office. ? And provided free books and school uniforms for the kids. Which they now have to pay for ? Would that be why they had a package of education reforms on the table which were scrapped by PT in favor of tablets most of which still haven't been delivered after 3 years. I see, they did these things because they didn't want kids educated. Incidentally there was a report recently that the education ministry plan to revive the Dems education reform package now they have got rid of the handbrake of the PT Govt. Sorry cant provide a link as it was in another publication.

How did you come by your information, or are you just making things up? Just last week redshirts were filing a complaint with the police as they did,nt get their 100bht as promised, As for anti government supporters being paid i have only seen it posted on here by government supporters, although i do know a few who join the protests i very much doubt they are being paid. I can't speak for all, but the PDRC supporters from my company who joined the protests were not paid anything. Some of them did get free meals or food though while they were there. Back in 2011 I saw Red Shirts being given money first hand. I don't believe any of the parties involved are above using underhand measures to achieve their desired result however.

I guess the redshirt guys are all sitting at home waiting for the money to be delivered Do you mean the ones at the rally or in the photo. If you mean in the photo, then they are some very ugly women! Joking aside, you are spot on. The vast majority of people in front of the cameras at both rallies are women - many of them middle aged. The men are usually towards the back or on the perimeter of the rallies busy doing other things or sleeping. It kind of reflects the approach to the study of English in many Thai classrooms.

I guess the redshirt guys are all sitting at home waiting for the money to be delivered Excessive heat and excessive hangovers made a siesta sound more appealing; especially when your old lady can go for you instead. I always was flabbergasted how the women of not only Isarn but the north as well, work much harder than the men, if not so much as keeping the family in tact. They appear more as the head of the household in a lot of cases. I'm sure others have noticed that too. Edited May 19, 2014 by gemini81
